REPORT | BU15 | Netherlands 3-2 Ireland

The Ireland Boys' Under-15s closed out a three-game International Friendly series with a 3-2 loss to Netherlands in Sportpark Parkzicht, Uden.

A week-long camp proved to be worthwhile for a group of players - many of whom are experiencing international football for the first time - who have showed tremendous promise and determination.

In the first game, the hosts won 4-2 with Ben Lyne scoring twice for the Boys in Green. Then the Dutch secured a narrow 1-0 win just 24 hours later. And the series was rounded up with this final game.

Cork City ace Destiny Okharedia netted on 35 minutes and Shamrock Rovers attacker Fionn McCormack Crowe scored on 83 minutes but those goals were not enough to stop the home team from winning for the third time.

The Ireland players will take a lot from these games, especially in how they performed and continued to keep playing against a very good opponent.

Ireland: Tae Gun Lee (Adam Madejek 46); Gearoid Moran (Ryan Savage 46), Jack Barden (Robert Morgan 46), Tom Casey (Jamie Jacob 46), Patrick Toth (Jack Magill 46); Jornuas Jakas (Mate Isakadze 46), William Carney (Harry Rehill 46); Conor Hudson (Fionn McCormack Crowe 52), Destiny Okharedia (Charlie Bonner 52), Nathan Power (Joe Manicle 46); Ben Lyne (Ronan Keating 52).
