Tramore AFC host Inclusion Evening

Waterford's Tramore AFC (the 2011 FAI Club of the Year) recently held an inclusion evening where over 40 participants from the Arch Club and St Joseph's Special School were welcomed into the club and participated in training and matches with coaches and players from the club.

Well-known local coach Tommy Griffin has coached in the SSE Airtricity League, and more recently worked with groups such as the FAI Football For All Club programme, Waterford Sportsability Forum and Kickstart 2 Recovery was to integral in putting it all together along with more than 20 coaches and volunteers from the club.

The players were split into eight teams and played a series of matches, often the coaches and players from the clubs older teams involved in the games, helping where necessary.

After the games, everyone tucked into food supplied free of charge by local businesses and music and dancing went on into the night. Club officials were delighted with the success of the evening and hope to run similar events throughout the summer.
