EAFF Congress takes place in Dublin

The FAI & Irish Amputee Football Association host 2nd European Amputee football Federation [EAFF] Congress.
13th Feb 2017

February 10th/11th/12th saw 20 delegates from 12 Amputee Football Federations attend for 3 days of Congress in Dublin, Ireland. Many areas of the game were covered including the 2017 European Championships , Junior Programs, development of new countries and Anti-Doping just to mention a few.

It was great to see two new federations join the EAFF family with Scotland and Greece the newest members. That addition now makes it 15 countries in Europe playing amputee football with over 1300 registered players and just under 100 juniors playing the game.

In 2 years the EAFF has grown from strength to strength and with the continued partnership and support of UEFA we are very confident of the continued growth within our game. Ireland's national amputee association, IAFA, govern the sport with the support of the FAI’s Football For All programme.

This helps in providing playing opportunities for players with a limb absence, congenital deficiency, or other limb affecting disorder with the opportunity to access Amputee Football at grassroots, national and International level.
