How do I apply to become a football agent licensed by FIFA?
Applications must be made via the FIFA Agent Platform - FIFA Agent Platform
A FIFA guide on using the FIFA Agent Platform is available here.
What are the possible licensing paths?
There are three possible licensing paths for applicants: (1) Exam Path; (2) Legacy Path; and (3) National Law Path.
The most suitable path will depend upon an applicant’s own circumstances. Each path requires applicants to meet certain eligibility requirements and other criteria. The key requirements of each path are as follows:
1. Exam Path
The exam path provides a route to becoming a football agent by passing the FIFA football agent exam.
2. Legacy Path
An applicant may qualify for an exemption from the exam if they can provide proof that:
- They were licensed as an agent pursuant to the FIFA Players’ Agent Regulations (1991, 1995, 2001 or 2008 editions); and
- They were registered as an intermediary, or were the owner, director, or employee of a legal person registered as an intermediary at a FIFA member association at least once between 1 April 2015 and 16 December 2022.
Please note that:
- An intermediary previously registered overseas should seek the relevant confirmations from the FIFA member association through which they were previously licensed.
3. National Law Path
An applicant may qualify for an exemption from the exam by proving that they are licensed pursuant to a FIFA-recognised licensing system for sports agents established in accordance with the national law of the territory of a FIFA member association.
