WU17s set to kick off International Tournament in Italy

The Ireland Women's Under-17s are taking part in an International Tournament that will also includes Italy, North Macedonia and Slovenia.

James Scott's squad will face Slovenia in their opening game of the tournament on Wednesday, September 10th with the winner facing the losing team between Italy and North Macedonia.

The tournament, which is being played in Gradisca D'Isonzo in north-east Italy, will see each team play three games across five days.

For Ireland, these games will aid their preparation for their upcoming UEFA European Championship qualifiers against Belgium, France and Germany in late October.

A number of players in the Ireland squad have already featured in the SSE Airtricity Women's Premier Division this season, including Cork City centre-back Holly O'Hagan, Shamrock Rovers full-back Keelin Comiskey, Bohemians midfielder Alex Devoy and Shelbourne forward Halle Harcourt.
