REPORT | GU16 | Ireland 2-2 Switzerland

A strong performance from the Ireland Girls' Under-16s finished in a 2-2 draw with Switzerland in the FAI National Training Centre.

The Girls in Green responded to an opening goal from Switzerland midfielder Améile Zorgiebel with an equaliser from Keela Donnelly Meehan just past the half hour mark.

Ireland got their second goal on 82 minutes when captain Lara Dallaghan found the back of the net and Switzerland got their goal to ensure the game ended all square.

This was the second game between the two teams in three days and Ireland will have benefitted massively from the two tests as this group of players continues their development.
