WU17 squad selected for UEFA EURO Round 1 Qualifiers

The Ireland Women’s Under-17s will come up against France, Belgium and Germany in their three UEFA European Women’s Under-17 Championship Round 1 Qualifiers in Frankfurt.

Head Coach James Scott has been able to select a strong squad made up of players who featured in an International Tournament victory in Italy and a recent International Friendly win over Northern Ireland.

With this new group of players, Ireland have scored 13 goals, conceded once and recorded three clean sheets. They will be hoping to bring that momentum into three tough challenges in their Group A2 qualifiers.

The target is to qualify for next summer’s finals tournament in Northern Ireland but firstly they must focus on the games against France (October 23rd), Belgium (October 26th) and Germany (October 29th).
