For the last five years, the WNT have linked up with Breast Cancer Ireland to use their profile to make more women aware of the eight signs and symptoms of Breast Cancer.
With one in seven Irish women set to be diagnosed with Breast Cancer in their lifetime, this is something that impacts families all around the country – especially women between the ages of 20-50 years. So it is vital that more women become aware of the eight signs and symptoms.
As part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October, WNT players Chloe Mustaki and Abbie Larkin (pictured above) wore Breast Cancer Ireland t-shirts in the lead-up to their UEFA Nations League Promotion/Relegation Play-Off with Belgium to help put more focus on raising awareness.
Ireland WNT captain Katie McCabe said: "It has never been more important for women to ensure that they are aware of the signs and symptoms of Breast Cancer, so the WNT squad want to play our part in getting that message out there as wide as possible.
“Early detection is so key in battling Breast Cancer, which is something that affects women all around the country, so visit the website for more information, make your friends aware of it and take action.”
