WNT squad confirmed for Albania double header

The Ireland Women’s National Team will continue their UEFA Nations League campaign with two games back-to-back against Albania.

Interim Head Coach Eileen Gleeson has selected a 26-player squad for the two games, which start at home on Friday, October 27 in Tallaght Stadium before travelling to Shkoder for a game on Tuesday, October 31.

With all tickets sold out for the home game, Ireland will be hoping that a full house turns up for their third game in Group B1 following on from victories over Northern Ireland and Hungary last month.

There is a call-up for in-form midfielder Erin McLaughlin, who last week helped Peamount United win the SSE Airtricity Women's Premier Division title with two games still to play.

Injuries rule out Niamh Fahey, Aoife Mannion, Claire Walsh, Tara O'Hanlon, Ruesha Littlejohn, Roma McLaughlin, Jess Ziu and Leanne Kiernan.
