WNT Legends to be honoured at Türkiye game

Ireland Women’s National Team fans are encouraged to attend the UEFA Nations League game against Türkiye to celebrate three legendary players – Niamh Fahey, Diane Caldwell and Julie-Ann Russell.

The recently retired trio will be special guests at Tallaght Stadium on Friday, February 21 and will be presented to the crowd at half-time to honour their outstanding international careers.

Collectively, the three players amassed 283 appearances over the last two decades. Fahey (115) is the fifth most-capped WNT player, while Caldwell (102) is seventh on the list of Centurions and Russell clocked up 66 games.

Ireland WNT Head Coach Carla Ward said: “It is important that we pay tribute to these three legends in Niamh Fahey, Diane Caldwell and Julie-Ann Russell at the Türkiye game to recognise what they did for Ireland as players. We hope our fans will come out in force to help honour them and also support the current team.”
