WNT present Cerebral Palsy squad with signed jerseys

The Ireland Women’s National Team invited the Ireland Women's Cerebral Palsy Team to their training session at the FAI National Training Centre to congratulate them on their recent tournament victory.

In October, the CP Team were crowned champions of the International Federation of CP Football Nations League for 2023 in what was their first ever tournament - scoring an incredibly 39 goals across three games.

The WNT squad had previously invited them to an Open Training Session in UCD Bowl prior to their departure for the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup to show their support and help encourage more girls to get involved with the team.

Now, after watching them do so well in the tournament in Denmark, a new invite was extended by the WNT to their training session where they presented the nine players and five staff members of the CP Team with individual signed jerseys.

The CP Team was made up of Heather Jameson, Georgia Barry, Ella Sherlock, Elsie Friel, Katie Finnegan, Robyn Ennis, Reeva Merriman, Eva Walsh and Ali O’Connor.

They were assisted by a support staff consisting of Mick Doyle (Head Coach), Tina McLoughlin (Assistant Coach), Meghan Gannon (Physio), Bobby Moore (Equipment Officer) and Rachel Kavanagh (Team Operations).
