Two home International Friendlies next up for GU16s

The Ireland Girls’ Under-16s will return to action with two International Friendly games against Switzerland in the FAI National Training Centre.

James Scott will lead the squad for what will be their second and third outings so far this year, after they only got to play one of two games away to Portugal in January due to adverse weather conditions.

The squad is made up of players representing nine different League of Ireland clubs, including Cork City’s Leah O’Leary Callendar and Treaty United’s Ellen Goggin who both recently made their SSE Airtricity Women’s Premier Division debuts.

The trio of Maisy Healy, Fiadh Woods and Mia Whelan are also included following stand-out performances for the Ireland Schools GU15s in their 6-0 win over Northern Ireland in the Bob Docherty Cup.
