Support Staff confirmed for Ireland WNT

The Ireland Women's National Team have confirmed their support staff ahead of their 2024 season kicking off.

Head Coach Eileen Gleeson will be supported by Assistant Coaches Colin Healy, Emma Byrne and Rhys Carr, plus Performance Coach Ivi Casagrande.

Wales native Carr is a new addition to the staff. The UEFA A Licence graduate currently works as Individual Development Coach at Wolverhampton Wanderers and has a Msc in Sports Coaching.

Both Healy and Byrne return to the coaching set-up with Byrne specialising in goalkeeping coaching following last year's successful UEFA Nations League campaign.

Casagrande also returns from 2023 to continue in her role along with Performance Psychologist Sarah Murray and Nutritionist Dr. Brendan Egan.

The full support staff will begin preparation for the UEFA Women’s European Qualifiers with upcoming International Friendlies against Italy (February 23) and Cyrmu (February 27).
