It will be a Cork versus Wexford affair on Sunday when Wilton United face Ferns United in the FAI Women’s Amateur Shield Final at Ozier Park, Waterford.

Wilton United are looking to claim the trophy for the second time after winning the competition back in 2023. For Ferns United it’s the first time in the final as they look to become the first club from Wexford to win the Amateur Shield.

Both team have had impressive paths to the final. Wilton have scored 18 goals and concede just three times in their cup run, while Ferns United have found the net 26 times and knocked out 2018 champions Lakewood Athletic in the semi-finals.
