St. Kevin's Boys secure FAI Club Mark award

St. Kevin's Boys are the latest club to secure the FAI Club Mark Entry Level award, another huge boost for the Dublin 9 club.

St. Kevin's Boys, a club synonymous with producing future international talent, has enjoyed fantastic support from it's volunteer structure and club officials to achieve this award as they look to continue their progress as a club.

Based at Shanowen Road, Santry, SKB has produced a number of full Irish internationals over the years, including the likes of Liam Brady, Ian Harte, Damien Duff, Alan Maybury, Stephen Carr, Jack, Byrne, Robbie Brady, Jeff Hendrick and Dara O'Shea.

As well as these Irish internationals, former SKB player Katlego Mashigo recently won an international cap for South Africa, the latest international to be developed at the club. The Santry club has also enjoyed success as well as developing talent, winning National Cups at every level across the DDSL, NDSL, AUL and LSL.

The club has also a successful partnership with Bohemians through their Academy which continues to produce honours at EA SPORTS National League level. The club operate a highly-successful SKB's Little Saints Coaching Academy where 140 boys and girls keep active each week with the club operating 45 teams in a variety of leagues across the board.

"It is a fantastic achievement for the club and serious recognition for so much hard work which goes into the club each week," said FAI Development Officer Neil Keoghan.

"St. Kevin's Boys is possibly one of the most famous grassroots clubs around the country having produced an incredible amount of high-level Irish international players but the work they're also doing in the community, in terms of participation and outreach is just as impressive.

"I'd like to thank the club for all of their efforts as well as the volunteer members, managers, coaches and club officials for their dedication and commitment to keeping the standards of the club to the highest level."
