SETU Carlow opens door to careers in football

The opportunity to kickstart a career in football comes with the SETU Carlow Open Day on Thursday, October 27th.

The Carlow campus will welcome prospective students from 10:00-14:00 for a tour of the top class facilities, an overview of the course, a chance to meet key staff and interact with students, while also having experts available to answer any questions.

The Bachelor of Arts in Sport Coaching and Business Management is a three-year course that combines Coaching and Business Management to equip students with the necessary skills to attain careers in: sport management, club development, games development and club administration.

Graduates will acquire an academic qualification while gaining the opportunity to develop as a footballer and to obtain coaching qualifications.

This course is suitable for anyone who has an interest in football, both playing and coaching or in the business and administration side of sport. It is open to students of all playing and coaching abilities - not just elite athletes and coaches.

Previous graduates have successfully forged careers in the football industry at international level, English Premier League, SSE Airtricity League and further afield in a variety of roles such as:
