Rush Athletic swoop FAI Club Mark Entry level award

Rush Athletic are the latest club to be awarded the FAI Club Mark Entry Level award as the Dublin club goes from strength to strength.

The club, which was founded in 1970, have recently been promoted to Intermediate football in the Leinster Senior League, the first time in their history, but also have made great strides off the pitch.

The club is the centre-point of the community in the coastal town of Rush with over 400 registered players and 68 coaches involved every weekend across teams from age three up to 18, as well as three senior teams and a senior women's team.

The club also runs a fantastic Football for All programme and recently hosted a brilliant Blitz event alongside Prosper Fingal, making sure the football is inclusive to all across the community.

"I work very closely with the club officials and volunteers at Rush Athletic and it's fantastic to see the club awarded for their hard efforts with the FAI Club Mark," said FAI Development Officer Paul Keogh.

"The club have made great strides in all aspects over the years and the amount of participation in the local community is a testament to that.

"I know the club are looking to continue to develop with planning permission for an all-weather pitch acquired and their active in seeking funding to get the project complete. I'm sure with the amount of effort and hard work going on behind-the-scenes, this club will continue to grow."
