Round-Up | Sports Direct Women's FAI Cup Quarter-Finals

A dramatic finish in Tallaght Stadium saw Shelbourne book their place in the Sports Direct Women's FAI Cup Semi-Finals following victory over Shamrock Rovers.

The four match-ups in the Quarter-Finals proved to be thrilling affairs with 11 goals scored and two ties having to be decided in extra-time.

Cork City 2-1 Bohemians (AET)
After a hard-fought 90 minutes, this contest had to go to extra-time and that is when it came alive. A stunning long-range strike from Orlaith O'Mahony put the hosts in front but Katie Malone hit back just two minutes later. Then some quick thinking by Eva Mangan helped square a pass to Edison Barrett in the final minute of action and she smashed it in to give Cork the win.

DLR Waves 1-3 Sligo Rovers
An early goal from Anna McDaniels gave Sligo the lead before Kelsey Munroe scored direct from a corner kick to put The Bit O'Red in control thanks to that two-goal cushion. Robyn Bolger did pull one back for DLR but they never got near to reigning Sligo in as Paula McGrory netted in the second half to make sure of the victory.

Shamrock Rovers 0-1 Shelbourne (AET)
There wasn't much in this game at all. The Dublin rivals fought hard but neither side were able to seize control. Ella Kelly went close with an effort for Rovers, while Christie Gray was a constant threat for Shels. But it came down to the final bit of action in extra-time when substitute Megan Smyth-Lynch drilled a low free-kick into the penalty area and it was diverted into the goal by Stephanie Zambra.

Treaty United 1-2 Athlone Town
The in-form Brenda Tabe opening the scoring at Markets Field and Athlone held that advantage going in at the interval. But an own goal from Kellie Brennan gave Treaty hope of knocking out the Cup holders until Kerryanne Brown scored from a free-kick on 72 minutes to send Ciaran Kilduff's team through to the final four.
