REPORT | WU19 | Northern Ireland 1-4 Ireland

The Ireland Women's Under-19s recorded a 4-1 victory over Northern Ireland in an International Friendly in Belfast.

First-half goals from Aoibhe Brennan and Katie Lawlee set the visitors on their way to the win before Lucy Fitzgerald and Della Cowper-Gray scored one apiece in the second period.

The plan was always to use every player in this game so the entire starting XI was changed on 55 minutes - shortly after Athlone Town ace Fitzgerald had got Ireland's third goal of the game.

With UEFA EURO Qualifiers coming in Bulgaria, Head Coach Dave Connell was keen to make the most of this game and give players an opportunity to impress, with seven players making their WU19 debuts.

Ireland will be pleased with the result but mostly with the performance with a number of players standing out and that bodes well going into three tough qualifying games.

Ireland: Jenna Willoughby (Laura Fanning 55); Sophia Leonard (Kate Jones 55), Lillie Quinlivan Coulson (Lauren Bowe 55), Lucy Fitzgerald (Keelin Comiskey 55), Clodagh Daly (Aibhlinn Cotter 55), Ella Kelly (Charlotte Cromack 55); Aoibhe Brennan (Maeve Wollmer 55), Madison McGuane (Emma Mooney 55); Katie Lawlee (Sorcha Melia 55), Anna Butler (Hannah O'Brien 55), Hannah Healy (Della Cowper-Gray 55).
