REPORT | MU17 World Cup | Solanke salvages draw against Switzerland

A last-minute header from Ade Solanke was enough to earn Ireland's U17 World Cup bound team a 1-1 draw with Switzerland.

In their final game before they head to Qatar, Ireland fought from a goal down in Pinatar after Jeremie Barererwa's penalty for Switzerland on the hour mark.

Ireland had plenty of chances in the game but they had to bide their time and it came through FC Lorient and former Shamrock Rovers man Solanke who headed home in the 90th minute to make it 1-1.

Next stop for Colin O'Brien's team is Panama on November 5th at the U17 World Cup in Qatar. 

Ireland: Moloney, Solanke, McDonagh, Leonard, Butler, Finneran (C), McMahon-Brown, McDonnell, Ogbonna, Kovalevkskis, Umeh. Substitutes: Noonan, Sheridan, Cullen, Martos, McAteer, Hayes, Lee.

Switzerland: Cherif, Martins, Lazri, Barererwa, Scherrer, Adje, Sinani, Correia, Bruchez, Llukes, Wyss. Substitutes: Brogli, Steimer, Kaufmann, Mambwa, Ibraimov, Mijalovic, Sekulic, Despotovic, Stiel.
