REPORT | MU17 | Switzerland claim friendly win over Ireland

Ireland Men’s Under-17s suffered a 3-0 defeat to Switzerland in their second friendly of the week in Czechia.

As part of their build-up to this November’s U17 World Cup the young Boys in Green are in Prague as part of three games for the young Irish side.

Looking to bounce back after a losing 2-1 in the final minute to Czechia on Wednesday, Ireland tasted defeated again to a talented Switzerland side.

The Swiss were ahead at half time through a solitary goal by Mladen Mijalovic and in the second half goals from Iliija Despotovic and Adrien Llukes put the gloss on a solid performance Switzerland.

Ireland will be looking to bounce back from the loss on Sunday when they meet Türkiye.
