REPORT | MU17 | Ireland end tournament with 3-0 Türkiye win

The Ireland Men’s Under-17s ended their September international window with a 3-0 victory over Türkiye in Prague today.

The tournament in Czechia is forming part of the build-up to the World Cup in Qatar in November with Colin O’Brien’s coming up against the hosts and Switzerland earlier this week.

Looking to bounce back after two earlier defeats, Ireland started on the front foot and UD Almeria midfielder Ramon Martos gave Colin O’Brien’s team the lead just before the half hour mark.

The midfielder would double the lead with second of the game in the 58th minute as Ireland took control of the contest

St. Patrick’s Athletic’s Billy Hayes wrapped up the game eight minutes later as Ireland ended the friendly series with a win.
