This was Ireland's fourth game of the tournament following victories over Montenegro and Zimbabwe, as well as a draw with Nicaragua, ahead of finishing Group C against Cambodia.
The Boys in Green have excelled in this 8v8 format, with two 20-minute halves, and their positive approach was rewarded on four minutes when Shamrock Rover midfielder Harry Rehill opened the scoring when his direct free-kick was deflected into the back of England's net.
Rehill then scored a screamer when picking up a pass from Billy Carney and curling an effort into the top corner of the net to make it 2-0 after eight minutes played.
Ireland kept pushing and Rehill got his hat-trick on 19 minutes when his original corner was not fully cleared and the ball eventually came to him and he blasted in from close range.
England pulled a goal back on 32 minutes before Rehill got his fourth goal when converting after his penalty was originally saved.
