The Boys in Green started the day with a brilliant 5-3 win comeback over Zimbabwe. A change of kit and opposition then saw them compete in an evening game in rainy conditions.
Two brilliant saves from Jake Morgan kept Nicaragua out inside the opening three minutes but they then scored three times on six, seven and 15 minutes.
Nicaragua led 3-0 at the interval, but Ireland fought their way back with Shelbourne's Darragh Nolan looping in a header on 22 minutes to get their latest comeback underway.
A high press then saw St. Patrick's Athletic youngster Nathan Power charge down an attempted clearance and react quickest to a bouncing ball to put it in the back of the net.
Shamrock Rovers midfielder Harry Rehill then levelled matters on 32 minutes with a brilliant low drive into the bottom corner of the net and that was enough to share the spoils.
