REPORT | Fairview Rangers win 2025 FAI/IFA Presidents' Junior Cup

A late goal helped Fairview Rangers win the FAI / IFA Presidents' Junior Cup for the second time with a 1-0 triumph over Ardmore in The Showgrounds, Sligo.

This was a tense encounter with both teams fired up to get their hands on the trophy and take away the title of being cross-border Junior champions.

Hailing from the Limerick District League, Fairview have a lot of experienced players in their line-up, including former League of Ireland midfielder Shane Duggan.

With both teams putting pressure on, neither could find a breakthrough until just before normal time ran out when substitute Cian McNamara fired in for Fairview.

That single goal proved to be enough to help Fairview lift the trophy that they last got their hands on in 2021 and become the first team in the competition's history to win it twice.

Fairview Rangers: McCarthy; O'Connor, Bowden, Cross, Curran; Rainsford, Judge, Duggan (McNamara 58), Vysochan; Habideen, Dore (Ahern 67).
