REPORT | FAI Women's Under-17 Cup Final - Athenry 0-2 Callan United

Two first-half goals from Chloe Tennyson guided Callan United to a 2-0 victory over Athenry in the 2025 FAI Women's Under-17 Cup Final.

In what was their first national Final, Callan United were able to bring the trophy back to Kilkenny after producing a performance worthy of overcoming the current holders.

Callan beat All Blacks FC, Gorey Rangers, Carrigtwohill United and Kilnamanagh AFC on their way to this Final and they showed their attacking class to edge this contest.

Tennyson broke the deadlock after 20 minutes and then got her second of the game on 37 minutes. From there, it was a big task for Athenry to fight their way back into it and they pushed as much as they could.

This was a great battle between two very good teams but, ultimately, it was Callan's day with captain Chloe Teehan lifting the trophy at the end.

Athenry: Doyle; Egan, Corcoran, Noone, Hannon; Feeney (Mitchell 59, Nylan 81), Fox, Kilgannon, M Noone; Jordan, Kennedy.

Callan United: Corcoran; K Purcell, Teehan, Ryan, Foley; Kennedy, S Doheny, E Doheny, R Purcell; Norris, Tennyson.

Referee: Lucy O'Sullivan.
