REPORT | Cymru WNT 1-1 Ireland WNT

A combative encounter saw the Ireland Women's National Team draw 1-1 with Cymru in the First Leg of their UEFA EURO 2025 Qualifying Play-Off.

A goal from Lily Woodham after 21 minutes gave the home team the lead in front of a record crowd of 16,845 but Ireland responded through an own goal from goalkeeper Olivia Clark.

It was a long-range effort from Ruesha Littlejohn that forced Clark into palming the ball onto her crossbar but it deflected into the back of her net as she fell backwards to make it 1-1.

Both teams had chances to sneak in front with Courtney Brosnan pulling off a fine save while Caitlin Hayes went close with an effort for Eileen Gleeson's team.

Littlejohn was voted as the Sky Player of the Match and she admitted afterwards that it was all still to play for going into the Second Leg in the Aviva Stadium on Tuesday, December 3rd.
