The Ireland Boys' Under-16s topped off an impressive performance to beat Netherlands 3-2 in an International Friendly in Uden.

Shamrock Rovers ace Ciaran Daly got Ireland on the scoresheet after 10 minutes before Derry City's Michael McClogan got their second of the game just before the interval.

Ireland made three changes at the break and one of those introduced, Cillian Phillips, netted their third goal when the Shelbourne midfielder found the back of the net on 69 minutes.

This was a first outing of the year for this squad and followed a week-long camp in Uden - which was facilitated by the KNVB - where the Ireland players were able to make the most of the experience.

Ireland: Charlie McGarvey (Caleb Murray 60); Charlie Nolan, Jayden Marshall, Luke Fitzsimons, Jack Corbally (Tom Casey 62); Bobby Zeller, Rhys Williams (Adrian Rascau 46); Ciaran Daly, Ethan Kelly (Jamie O'Donnell 46), Corey Fay; Michael McColagn (Cillian Phillips 46).
