The Republic of Ireland Under-21s take on Sweden in Borås tomorrow night in their UEFA U21 European Championship Qualifier.

Ireland will be looking for back-to-back wins against the group leaders who they claimed a 1-0 win over at Tallaght Stadium in November.

St. Patrick’s Athletic duo Darragh Burns and Joe Redmond have been called into an Under-21s squad for the first time with Crystal Palace’s Killian Phillips in the squad for the first time since October.

Manager Jim Crawford: “Qualification is in our hands if we can win. And automatic qualification too with Montenegro taking points off Italy the other night. That’s certainly the aim and if we can, we get a point behind Sweden with a game in hand and that’s our target for now. It’s a huge game, it’s probably for me the most important Under-21s game to date.”

Ireland Under-21s captain Conor Coventry: “I see how hard all the staff work and how much qualification would mean to the staff and how much it would means to the boys.
