Preview | Sports Direct Women's FAI Cup Quarter-Finals

Eight teams remain but only four will progress from the Sports Direct Women's FAI Cup Quarter-Finals.

Holders Athlone Town travel to Limerick to take on Treaty United as part of an action-packed Saturday that also sees DLR Waves host Sligo Rovers and Cork City come up against Bohemians.

On Monday evening, Shamrock Rovers face Shelbourne in a Dublin Derby that will seal the last place in the Semi-Finals of this famous competition.

The ultimate aim is to reach this year's Final in Tallaght Stadium on Sunday, October 20th, but none of the remaining eight teams involved will look past their next match.

DLR Waves will be high on confidence following their recent win over Peamount United in the SSE Airtricity Women's Premier Division, but Sligo Rovers will be fired up having reached the semi-finals last year.

The clash between 2017 winners Cork City and Bohemians will be a curious one as both have produced notable performances in the League this season and have potential match-winners in Colleen Kennedy-O'Connell and Katie Malone respectively.

Athlone are sitting top of the League after overcoming Shelbourne last weekend so they are in good form, but they will know not to underestimate a Treaty United side who have home advantage here.

Shamrock Rovers lost on penalties in the Avenir Sports All-Island Cup Final to Galway United last Saturday but they can use that as motivation to bounce back against a Shelbourne outfit fired up after finishing as runners-up in this competition last year.

All games will be available to watch live on LOITV, while match tickets can be secured from the home venue.
