Preview | 2025 FAI/IFA Presidents’ Junior Cup Final

Fairview Rangers are aiming to win the FAI / IFA Presidents’ Junior Cup for the second time as they take on Ardmore in this year’s Final in The Showgrounds, Sligo on Saturday, September 13th.

The cross-border competition was founded in 2018 and offers an opportunity for junior teams playing in leagues in the Republic of Ireland to compete with teams playing in leagues in Northern Ireland.

There has been a different winner of this Cup every year with North End United, St. Michael’s, Fairview Rangers, Villa FC, Newmarket Celtic and Enniskillen Rangers all getting to lift the trophy so far.

Fairview got to experience that high in 2021 and they will be hoping to taste glory again after scoring 27 goals in nine games en route to this year’s Final. Add to that their 10th title victory in the FAI Junior Cup last May and it’s clear that this is a team in superb form.

Ardmore, who play in the North-West Junior League, made history earlier this year by winning the fonaCAB Craig Stanfield Junior Cup for the first time. They too have been brilliant on their journey to this year’s Final, scoring 29 goals, and edging Enniskillen Town in a penalty shoot-out.

This should be a thrilling contest between two very good teams as they go head to head in an attempt to claim victory.
