"Our Supporters Are A Joy To Play In Front of" - Caitlin Hayes

Caitlin Hayes can hardly wait to return to Tallaght Stadium with the Ireland Women's National Team because of the atmosphere that the supporters create.

The Girls in Green take on Georgia in the second leg of their UEFA EURO 2025 Qualifying Play-Off in the Dublin venue on Tuesday, October 29th and it's one not to be missed.

Defender Caitlin Hayes, who has 14 WNT caps, hopes to be involved as she insists that playing at home in front of the Irish fans is always a special experience.

"Since I've come in to play with Ireland it's very noticeable that it's not all about the starting eleven because if a team comes here they are playing not just a team, they are playing the whole of Ireland," said Hayes.

"When the going gets tough the crowd get louder. That's something that only helps us and we rise to it. We definitely feel the support and it's something that is a joy to play in front of. The support is felt and it's definitely heard.

"Our number one role is obviously to be footballers but everyone in our changing room is aware of the role that they have in being a role model for young girls and representing what young girls can be when they come to the stadium and see the players on the field.

"That's something that is definitely important and something that is taken in our stride but never overlooked. We're very privileged to be in that position and all we can do is be the best role models possible."
