North East Football For All Blitz huge success

Adult disability services from Monaghan, Cavan and Louth recently took part in a hugely successful blitz at DKIT sport in Dundalk.

The event was facilitated by FAI staff as part of the Football For All programme. Up to 40 players took part on the day with teams from National Learning Network Dundalk, Rehab Care Dundalk, Drumlin House Cavan and Errigal Truagh Monaghan.

There were fantastic skills on show, but most importantly great fun was had by all. It is hoped that further events can take place over the coming months.

Football For All development officer Paul Smyth said: "We had a great day hosting the blitz, with services across three counties taking part.

"The feedback from the players was really good and hopefully we can build on the event even further the next time around. It was also great to have a number of the FAI staff present to support the event."
