MU19 | Squad announced for friendlies in Croatia

Ireland Men’s Under-19 Head Coach Tom Mohan has named a squad of 22 for a tournament in Croatia next week.

The young Boys in Green head to Poreč to take on the hosts as well as Greece and Mexico. There are three new call-ups to the squad with Matthew Kiernan (Cork City), Thomas Morley (Sligo Rovers) and Daniel Isichei (Birmingham City) all named in the travelling party.

The games are the final preparations for Mohan’s team who are in Under-19 EURO Qualification action next month when they head to Moldova for games against Moldova, Azerbaijan and Iceland.

Republic of Ireland Men’s Under-19s  Squad

Goalkeepers: Oisin Cooney (Finn Harps), Marcus Gill (Celtic), Cian O’Shea (Stockport Town, on loan from Stockport County)

Defenders: Stanley Ashbee (Hull City), Jacob Devaney (Manchester United), Matthew Kiernan (Cork City), Jake Grante (Crystal Palace), Cathal McCarthy (UCD), Cory O’Sullivan (Shamrock Rovers), Freddie Turley (Derby County)
