MU16 | Squad named for Estonia and Finland friendlies

Paul Osam's Ireland Men's Under-16s will begin their international season with two friendlies at Weavers Park, Drogheda next week.

The young Boys in Green will take on Estonia on Tuesday evening (September 26) followed by Finland on Thursday morning (September 28).

It is the first international outing of the campaign for the group who are largely made up of last year's Men's Under-15s who lifted the Torneo delle Nazioni in Italy.

Sixteen of the 20-player squad currently play in the EA SPORTS LOI Academy with players from seven League of Ireland clubs represented.

Last year's Men's Under-15s International Player of the Year Rory Finneran is selected as is St. Patrick's Athletic's Michael Noonan who netted 10 international goals in 16 appearances for both the MU15s and MU16s last term.

Entrance to the games are available at the stadium on match-days with tickets priced at €5 for adults and €2 for juniors.
