Sunday will see Blue Magic FC and Pro Brazil FC go head-to-head in the FAI Futsal Cup Final at the National Indoor Arena, Abbotstown.
Both teams qualified after making it to the final of the AUL Cup and Sunday’s game not only gives the teams a chance to lift the FAI Futsal Cup but also a possible place in the UEFA Futsal Champions League.
The winner will be nominated to represent Ireland in the competition and Blue Magic – who have won the FAI trophy five years in-a-row – will be looking to head to their seventh Champions League campaign.
Both these sides met back in 2022 when Magic came out on top 11-3 in the final. Three years on, Pro Brazil, who were only formed in 2019, will be hoping to make more a game of it and clinch a first FAI title since their formation six years ago.

Sinisa Sicar, Blue Magic Manger, said: “I don’t believe in the term defend a title, you have to approach each title fresh and that’s what we’ve been doing over the last few years.
“We’ve been Ireland’s representatives in the UEFA Futsal Champions League and if, and I stress if, we overcome Pro Brazi it would be an honour to do that again.
“I have a lot of respect for Pro Brazil, I wish there were more opponents like this in the league as both teams could be challenged further. There are Brazilians on both teams, they’ll know each other, and I think whoever wins the emotional battle will go on to lift the trophy.”
Fred Willian, Chairman of Pro Brazil, said: “To lift the trophy and be nominated for the Champions League would be a dream come true. We started as an academy in 2019 and in the last four years we have got at least to a semi-final of this competition.
“Blue Magic are the best team, our best result against them was a draw. We faced them in a final a few years ago and lost but to win this would be special. All I could say is if we won and made it to the Champions League we would be living the dream.”
