Ireland WU19s finalise squad for EURO Qualifiers

The Republic of Ireland Women's Under-19s have selected a 20-player squad for their three UEFA Women's Under-19 European Championship Qualifiers in Croatia.

Drawn into Group A2, Dave Connell's squad are targeting top spot and a place in this summer's finals tournament in Lithuania.

Ireland will begin against Iceland (April 3) before taking on Austria (April 6) and then finishing against the hosts, Croatia (April 9).

Selected in the WU19 squad are four players - Katie Keane, Jess Fitzgerald, Freya Healy and Ellen Dolan - who have previously trained with the Women's National Team, while 15 of the 20 players involved have featured in the SSE Airtricity Women's Premier Division already this season.

Ireland will be keen to build on the good work they completed in a recent trip to Finland and give themselves the opportunity to qualify for the tournament.
