Ireland Women in search of glory at European Deaf Futsal Championship

The Ireland Women's Team have travelled to Croatia for the 2026 European Deaf Futsal Championships in high hopes.

In what is the seventh staging of this tournament, Ireland will feel that they have a good chance of making it out of Group A and going all the way to the Final (and possibly even winning it outright).

The Girls in Green were drawn alongside Hungary, Türkiye, Netherlands, Sweden and Germany, with the first game kicking off on Monday, March 9th (against Hungary).

After finishing fourth at last year's World Deaf Futsal Championship - their highest ever finish in a major tournament - Ireland will go into this competition full of confidence.

Included in the squad is former Ireland Women's Under-19 international Brooke Dunne, ex-Cork City attacker Nathalie O'Brien and 2022 FAI Football For All International Player of the Year Rebekah Grant.

Led by Head Coach Martin Perciavalle and Assistant Coach Lolo Clarke, Ireland landed in Porec, Croatia knowing that they have the experience and skill needed to challenge for the trophy.

Ireland Squad
Denise Doran, Brooke Dunne, Teagan O'Reilly, Carmel Heery, Nathalie O'Brien, Catherine Grier, Rebekah Grant, Laura McGuinn, Shauna Hamilton.
