InterviewL Will Smallbone on U21s' togetherness

Republic of Ireland U21s midfielder Will Smallbone has spoken about the bond in the U21s squad ahead of next month's play-off with Israel.

Smallbone, who has impress since joining Stoke City from parent club Southampton, says the togetherness of the U21s group helped push them to a first ever U21s play-off place.

Speaking to FAITV the goalscoring playmaker reflected on the June international window that saw him net three times in two home games in Tallaght Stadium.

Tickets for the Ireland Under-21's UEFA European U21 Championship Play-Off first leg against Israel are now on sale.

The young Boys in Green will take on Israel in Tallaght Stadium on Friday, September 23 (kick-off 7pm).
