Double Header first up for new GU16 squad

The first experience of international football for the new group of Ireland Girls’ Under-16s takes them to Prague for two International Friendlies with Czechia.

The class of 2024/25 were impressive as they recorded seven wins and only lost a UEFA Development Tournament via a penalty shootout. But now it’s a fresh opportunity for a new set of players.

Under the guidance of Head Coach Tom Elmes – and his support staff – the squad will travel to Prague for back-to-back games with Czechia in what will be two difficult assignments.

Amongst the new group is Shamrock Rovers defender Ava Kelly who is following in her sister Ella’s footsteps in making the step up to international level.
