Community Recognition Fund 2024 has opened

The Minister for Rural & Community Development, Heather Humphreys TD, together with her colleague Minister Joe O'Brien, have announced a further €50 million in funding under the Community Recognition Fund 2024.

This provides a fantastic opportunity for our clubs to access funding in recognition of the contributions made by communities across Ireland in welcoming and hosting people from Ukraine and other countries.

The Community Recognition Fund can assist with your club's development plans or provide the opportunity to obtain much-needed sports equipment. 

All applications must be submitted through your Local Authority so please make direct contact with your relevant Local Authority today for further information.

Key details of the fund are highlighted below:

- Minimum Amount €50,000
- Maximum Amount €500,000

The Community Recognition Fund supports the development and/or refurbishment of sports clubs and facilities.

The fund supports the purchase of sporting equipment for sports clubs.

Deadline for applications is the May 31st, 2024 but please check with your Local Authority for relevant deadlines as they may vary.

This is an ideal opportunity for your club to seek vital funding for your club development plans.

Examples such as - floodlighting upgrades, pitch developments, changing rooms refurbishment/development, or to acquire much-needed equipment for pitch maintenance or to ensure your teams are kitted out to play for the season ahead.

The fund is being managed by Local Authorities, and funding has already been allocated to each authority so now is the time to act and reach out to your Local Authority. Please contact them today to get more information and request an application form.
