Club Mark awarded to Balrath GB FC

Navan's Balrath GB FC are the latest club to achieve the FAI Club Mark award.

Balrath GB FC were founded in July 2010 and their home ground situated at Balrath Park, Flemington, Balrath, Navan, Co.Meath

The Club has grown from one team that year to 21 within a 10 year period including a Football For All section.

Balrath have one of the biggest girls sections in County Meath with over 150 registered players and are one of the first clubs to include "Girls" as part of the club name (Balrath Girls/Boys Football Club).

The club facilities include a full size floodlight all-weather pitch and two sand-based grass pitches in the Village Park in Kentstown. This is on top of the home ground at Balrath Park where small-sided games take place.

The club have 305 Kids, 10 Committee Members and participate in the NDSL, NECSL, MGL Leagues.

The club would like to thank all the coaches and committee for their ongoing support as they thrive to make the club a fun, vibrant place to be for all.

Balrath FC are more than just a club and pride themselves on not hosting trials or grading players with football open to all.

The club also hosts activities such as Halloween and Christmas parties, barbecues, trips away, Republic of Ireland games a go-karting, hell and back challenges and much more besides!

The FAI Club Mark is free and optional for clubs and aims to:

  • Improve the management of clubs ‘off the field’
  • Establish and promote best practice
  • Empower and support clubs
  • Recognise and reward clubs for achieving high standards
  • Increase a club’s capacity to operate effectively and grow football in communities throughout Ireland.
