Alex Kavanagh called up to Ireland WNT squad

Shelbourne midfielder Alex Kavanagh has been added to the Ireland Women’s National Team squad ahead of their UEFA Nations League game at home to Greece on Tuesday, April 8th.

The 25-year-old was last involved with the WNT as an un-used substitute for the International Friendly in California against USA in August 2019.

The Dubliner made her one senior appearance, as a late substitute, in an International Friendly win in Newport against Cymru in August 2016.

Kavanagh replaces Katie McCabe who is suspended for the Group B2 game after picking up her second yellow card of the campaign in the 4-0 victory away to Greece last Friday.
