The Ireland Women's Under-19s narrowly missed out on securing back-to-back qualification to the UEFA European Championships in an action-packed year.

Having led the WU19s to the European finals tournament in 2024 (not to forget also doing so in 2014), Head Coach Dave Connell almost did it for a third time only for Ireland to lose late on to France in their Group A6 finale.

A new squad was formed for the second part of the year with three International Friendly games helping Ireland to prepare for their EURO qualifiers in Bulgaria that saw them finish third in Group A5.

The WU19s will move onto the Elite Round in 2026 and they will do so with a new-look support staff after Connell, Pat Behan, Adrian Carberry and Barbara Bermingham ended their long involvement with the team.
