There was heartache in a penalty shootout but also lots of positives to take in 2025 for the Ireland Girls' Under-16s.

The year started with a double header against Switzerland in Spain where the Girls in Green scored seven goals in two impressive displays.

It was then onto a UEFA Development Tournament in Finland, where Ireland lost narrowly to Belgium and the hosts before Switzerland beat them in a penalty shootout following a 2-2 draw.

A new squad of players were assembled by Head Coach Tom Elmes for the final two games, which were International Friendlies away to Czechia.
