2024 REVIEW | WU19

The Ireland Women's Under-19s took part in the UEFA WU19 European Championships for just the second time to cap off a fine year in 2024.

Lia O'Leary scored the sole goal of their involvement in the EUROs tournament in Lithuania, but Dave Connell's team performed well against eventual winners Spain, a strong Germany team and runners-up Netherlands.

It was also a year that saw Ireland introduce new players to this level and get their 2024-25 qualifying campaign off to a positive start with wins over Bulgaria and Finland in Round 1.
