WU17 | Review of 2021

It was a year to remember for the Republic of Ireland Women's Under-17s as they finished it as the best-ranked team in Europe.

Becoming just the fourth different Ireland team to qualify for the WU17 European Championships is a target very much still in sight for James Scott's squad following their terrific results in the Qualifying Round.

Three wins from three games in Norway has set them up for the next round with the finals tournament in Bosnia & Herzegovina motivating an extremely talented group of players.

It was a slow start to the year with two scoreless draws against Northern Ireland and one win from two games away to Portugal, but the performances improved each time before they turned on the style in qualifying.
