TG4’s coverage will return for a third successive season to provide free-to-air television coverage of the SSE Airtricity Women’s Premier Division - starting this weekend with a Dublin Derby.

The duel between champions Shelbourne and newcomers Shamrock Rovers promises to be an entertaining encounter in Tolka Park on Saturday, March 18 and it will be live on TG4 from 13:40.

Six different clubs will feature in the opening four live games of the season and they were represented today at a media launch by Ciara Glackin (Athlone Town), Mia Dodd (Bohemians), Becky Watkins (Peamount United), Jessica Hennessy (Shamrock Rovers), Alex Kavanagh (Shelbourne) and Abbie Brophy (Wexford Youths).

Presented by Darren Ó Dubhgáin and produced by Fogarty Fenwick, Spórt TG4’s Sacar Beo will once again feature a team of expert football analysts across 12 live games in the 2023 season as coverage and viewership of the SSE Airtricity Women’s Premier Division continues to grow.

Each live game will also have exclusive behind the scenes action from the games across the Spórt TG4 social media channels and will make the games available globally via the TG4 Player App.

TG4’s Head of Sport Rónán Ó Coisdealbha said: “It is a very exciting year for women’s football and we look forward to the increased coverage of the SSE Airtricity Women's Premier Division on TG4.
