Search on to reunite Jeyes Team from 1972

Plans are in place to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Jeyes team from 1972 who went on a four-game tour of France. However, two players are still unaccounted for.

The Football Association of Ireland is calling on the Irish public to help track down two players from that team to bring the collective back together for a special event on August 11th.

Managed by Pat Noone, Jeyes were a Dublin-based factory team who accepted an invitation to travel to France for a mini tour that included taking on Stade de Reims. Included in the team were future Republic of Ireland Women's Internationals Kay Ramsbottom and Linda Gorman.

Attempts are now ongoing to reunite the team ahead of the 50th year anniversary of that trip, with just two players yet to confirm their attendance.

Please get in touch if you know of the whereabouts of the following women who were part of that Jeyes team:

  • Clare Anderson
  • Carol Neary
