With play ticking onto the seventh minute, Ireland took the lead with Hannah Healy sliding a pass across to Arsenal defender Leonard to lob the Swiss goalkeeper from 35 yards out.
It was a superb finish and Leonard's first for the WU19s. It also set Ireland up nicely as they dictated a lot of the play with flowing passing moves and an eagerness to break forward.
Switzerland eventually got one back on 73 minutes when substitute Lia Ammann found the back of the net to ensure that this contest would end on an even scale.
The teams will meet again on Thursday, March 5th as they both continue preparations for their upcoming UEFA European WU19 Championship Round 2 Qualifiers.
